I could not have loved my 15 year old boy more, his caricature illuminated within the shadows as I opened the door gently and handed him something he forgot. The hour was late. He warmly smiled and put out his hand, I love you. I love you too, his words lifted, floated and then landed within me like a rain drop settling on a cloud, like the translucent wisps of a dandelion meditating in a silent breeze, like the scent of freshly baked apple cake caressing the senses. Nothing could have been more pure at that moment.
